For most of the year Thrash’s is a private studio. Door closed, artist and client, six focused hours. Two weeks each summer, the door swings open. We pack up the bench, drive ten minutes east to Exit 55, and run a different operation entirely: handpicked guest artists, walk-up sessions, custom flash, and the controlled chaos that only the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally produces.
We think of the rally as the amuse-bouche. It’s the introduction. The studio is the meal. Plenty of clients meet us at the rally and come back to Rapid City for year-round work.

29 years at the bench. Owner of Thrash’s. Hosts the lineup every year and works alongside the crew.

Tattooing since 2018 and has owned her own studio but now tattoos as a guest artist across the United States. She loves fineline, realism, portraits.
Tattooing since 1989. Been around the block. Co-owner of Tri-Star Tattoos in Lebanon TN. Likes traditional, classical style. No extra charge for his sense of humor.
Bryan has been tattooing since 2013 and is currently at Red Sparrow Tattoo Collective in Bellingham WA. He specializes in a modern traditional style of tattooing with a limited color palette.
Tattooing since 2021 at 183 Ink in Winner SD. She loves fineline, black & gray realism, and adding a pop of color to your tattoo.
Tattooing since 2014 and tattoos as guest artist across the United States. Loves lettering, black & gray fine line tattoo.
For rally week, you’ll find us inside the Black Hills Harley-Davidson Building at Exit 55 — the official gateway to Sturgis traffic and one of the largest Harley dealerships in the world.

We are located inside the main building at Black Hills Harley-Davidson. Walk to the back of the building, near the restrooms.
To be announced. We post our Exit 55 dates as soon as Black Hills Harley-Davidson confirms the 2027 rally schedule.
Rally-week hours follow Black Hills Harley-Davidson’s dealership hours and will be posted with the 2027 dates. Tattoos are scheduled to end before the dealership closes.
We accept all major credit cards and cash.
Our artists have created custom flash that is only available during the Rally.
Tattoos are first come, first inked.
You will receive a quote for your tattoo and to book your appointment, a 50% non-refundable deposit will be taken. You’ll be advised of a start time for your tattoo. If you’re late, your appointment will be canceled and your deposit will be forfeited.
If we connect at Exit 55 and you want to commission something bigger — a project that takes
more than one session, in a quieter room — that’s what the Rapid City studio is for.
